Men’s Ministry
Vision & Purpose

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, 2 and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.

That each of our men is active and growing in their personal relationship with Christ (Phil. 3:12)

  • They are pursuing Christ (Psalm 119:159; Phil 4:8-9)
  • They are devoted to prayer (Eph 6:18; Col 4:2)
  • They are devoted to the Word (Psalm 119:1-2; 100)
  • Actively using the Armor of God (Eph 6:10-17)

That each of our men is well-connected with several other men (Eccles:4:9-12)

  • They are serving together (Eph 4:16)
  • They pray for one another (James 5:16)
  • They support one another in life (1 Pet 4:8-9)
  • They provide godly accountability for one another (Heb 10:24-25; Eph 4:15)
  • They spend time enjoying fellowship with one another (Acts 2:42;44)

That each of our men is using their spiritual gifts in and outside the body of Christ (1 Corinthians12:14-26; Col 4:5; Eph. 4:15-16)

  • They know what their spiritual gifts are (1 Cor 12:1-11; Rom 12:4-8)
  • They have a safe environment to fail and the proper support to succeed (1 Thess. 2:7-8; Eph 4:32)
  • They value other people and their gifts (1 Cor 12:21-25)
  • We spell success and failure as a team, not as individuals. Do this in a safe, nurturing environment (Prov 3:7; Rom 12:10; Eph 4:32)

That each of our men is committed to both being a student and a teacher in discipleship (2 Tim. 1:13; 2:2; 1 Cor 11:1)

  • They are pursuing Christ first and foremost (1 Chron 16:11; 2 Chron 16:9)
  • They have someone to follow (2 Tim 2:2)
  • They have someone to lead (2 Tim 2:2)
  • Even though each of us are growing at different rates and are at different places in our spiritual journey, it is vital that each of us is in the process of growth and not dormant
  • That we are committed to the Lord, with a relationship centered on Christ

That each of our men is the spiritual leader in their family (1 Cor 11:3; Col 3:18-19)

  • They are loving their wives as Christ loved the church. (Col 3:19; Eph 5:25; Eph 5:28-30)
  • They are feeding into their children through modeling, teaching, encouragement, and by providing a safe and nurturing environment. (Col 3:21; Eph 6:4; Prov 1:8-9; Deut 6:7)
